Good Day On A New Perm.

Recommended Posts

I planned to have the day shooting yesterday until my wife informed me that my6 year olds school was shut to be a polling station. Wife isn't a fan of shooting but i told her in no uncertain terms (asked her on my knees) that Charlie was coming with me.

He loved it! We got there about 9.30 and walked into a part where i knew there would be bunnies. Sure enough there was and i took one with a nice head shot at about 20yds. We moved over to another field and i dropped another rabbit at about 30yds. I could see a Jackdaw in the tree at the other side of the field, only a narrow field so maybe 50yds. I took aim rested on the gate and sure enough another clean headshot (amazed myself)!

No sooner had the Jackdaw dropped when a load of magpies came round making a racket. I moved maybe 15yds closer along the hedgerow and dropped 2 before they decided to disappear.

I went back and had a coffee and a chat with the farmer and then walked down into the woods at the bottom of the perm. Lovely woods but so dry that everything could hear us coming. Dropped a Crow from high in tree and called it a day.

I'm not the best shot in the world so credit has got to go to my .177 falcon fn19......What a rifle, my first pcp and i love it!

Sorry the pic only shows the first half of my kills Lol
