Guest Navek
Well that's me f***ing done!!! Just woke up do school run looked out window av look at the birds bouncing about but instead all I saw was the door wide open and a f****n cat in avairy.. The door has a push across bolt so have no idea how it's open and I no it won't be my girl as she was out with her mother till late last nite... Gutted as I had a Canary hen sitting on eggs. Not sure how many got away or how many the cat had but all I have left (wich managed survive )is a goldie cock Gutted isn't the word
fireman 10,869
That's a b*****d but if you can leave the door open and they may well come back in to feed or to sit back on the eggs, one thng oyu should have done is get rid that cat once and for all if you had it inside the aviary..

bobcullen79 1,495
Windy down here last night bud, Could the wind have pushed the frame and undone the lock? The crazy woman a couple of gardens away was out at 12.45am with a torch checking her budgie avairy, so were her fooking barking dogs. Gutted regardless mate.
pappabear 128
Hope some come back mate
Guest Navek
I did think maybe the wind had something to do with it but the actual frame hasn't got dnoth play in it to move the actual bolt far enough to to open the door Peter: no one other than my neighbours no I have them plus the cat was inside the svairy with feathers floating about the floor plus I think they would took the goldie I think a guard dog to keep the cats and maybe two legged cats out mite be on the cards

Guest Navek
No gnash.fecking gutted. Thought I saw my goldie hen come back and land on the fence but to be honest every small bird that flew past and made a sound I was running up the yard to see if it was them........been offered two pairs of canarys also been offered some birds off here by a lad who I've never met or spoke to ( some decent lads still about) and been offered some young Canary cock birds off another lad so I'm just waiting for the weather to clear up abit so can get some changes made to the aviry then will be all systems go again....I did however pick up a canary hen to keep my goldie company so will just have see what's wat..
