I am a little biased as I always have a soft spot for the number 10 shirt, but for me it's Messi......he is one tough little f****r.

Players that make is look as easy as he does and that take the punishment he does in stride can be over looked a bit simply because there's no fuss, but for me he beats Ronaldo hands down.

And theres the second greatest player ive ever seen live.......sometimes when West Ham didnt have a game as a younger man i would sneak into the Clock End at Highbury pretending to be an away fan just to watch Liam Brady,i didnt give a monkeys who won or lost i would just watch him,not in a hero worship kind of way just for the sheer ability of the man..........then when he came to West Ham well it was birthdays and xmas all at once .......for those old enough to remember him,can you imagine Brady in todays game with these bowling green pitches and carpet slippers for boots !

Also the rules of the modern game offer players more protection. The good players of previous eras had to put up with a lot more attention and tougher tackles than the current players.

Nope though i wouldnt argue with anyone who said Messi was the better player as they are both greats.....i guess you just go with who you like and for me Ronaldo has everything.

well ronaldo is a very fit and strong guy while messi had to have the human growth hormone drug to get to the size he is although very talented it imo takes a bit of the shine off him
