Silver 0
Hi there Question relating to: TASCO 3-9x50 AO Rifle Scope. Is there anyone out there who is familiar with this scope as I have a chance of aquiring one. It has 72 MOA elevation adjustment on the turret and I was hoping it would do for my .308/7.62 Parker-Hale Safari shooting out up to 1000 yards. Cheers James Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Difficult this one......Tasco make/MADE some ok scopes, I don't know this one specifically but I would suggest something a little better on a .308. You also say 1000 yards...are you talking game or target, either way at that distance I would consider something more powerful than 9! My .22LR has a 3-12 on it and on Short Siberia (200yards) I usually wind that up to 10. My .308 has a 6.5-26 and whilst I often use it close to the bottom end I find I also use it a lot at 12-14 for both target and hunting up to about 250 yards! Deker Quote Link to post
Silver 0
Hi Deker I Only shoot on the ranges out to 1000 yards, never shoot more than 150 / 200 yards in the field to ensure a clean bag. The Scopes attraction is that it has 72 MOA on the elevation and a good windage also. I've had it anyway, (it did not come expensive) and I can always use it on my BRNO Hornet .22 as that is badly in need of another scope. I am trying to talk the family into a Christmas joint pressy, a Loupold maybe... Edited November 20, 2007 by Silver Quote Link to post
