Afternoon

Recommended Posts

I do winge about the lack of a shooting experience with the HW100, but thought I'd best use it, it's not been out of the cupboard in months, so took it rabbiting this afternoon. So, I do moan, but my god it's surgical out to 50 yards... Even on the small bonits of the young tasteh ones. Image was took at 3 but managed to bag 9. Not one miss. Although I couldn't find one... Houdini act indeed. Dropped on the spot. God knows.

Good shooting fella. I've been thinking about getting an hw100kt in .177, just wondered how they compare with the rapid mk1?

Hmm. Now this is some question.

Head says HW100.

Heart says Rapid.

Id say the 100 is a better rifle... its newer, reg'd, efficient, predictable and boring.

The 7 is older, wiser, been there done that kinda thing, nothing to prove, but keeps you on your feet. The bolt is as slick, it shoots just as good, maybe a bit louder with the ping sound rather than the shitty 'pock' sound a 100 makes [no matter what mod goes up front!]

Ive always loved Rapids since a kid, so the 100 would go before the 7, even if it didn't work. I could go out and get another 100 thats exactly the same... it would take me a year to find a Rapid like mine. [it does need a service though, but again, that doesn't matter]
