pegstaff 9
Not planning on breeding my hob and it would be easier if I could leave him in the court all year round. Would castrating my hob affect the way he works? Quote Link to post
krawnden 1,036
Not in the slightest. My best ever worker was a castrated hob. He's not the only one I've had and the rest have all been good workers too. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
Vasectomy is the way to go. You end up with a real asset, A working Hob that can bring all your Jills out of season. 1 Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 11,608
Wifes got 2 hob pets,I had off johhnyboy last year, she just got them castrated £51 each! Quote Link to post
maxwell 88
For the price to get him castrated , I would rather have him vasectomised, my vasectomised hob who I have just lost was an assett both in the field and in the hutch bringing my jills out of season, he will be replaced by a young hob who will also have the snip and also be worked Quote Link to post
max abell 196
Got a castrated hob in the court at the moment the niece wanted to keep him out the litter 2 yrs ago cos he was a pretty colour and to be honest he works well. we have had splayed Jill's castrated and vasectomised hobs over the many years we have been ferreting and found absolutely no difference in there working ability compared to complete Jill's and hobs Quote Link to post
ferretracer 24
All mine are castrated and work just the same, the price is a bit of stinger in getting it done all i can say if you have a easipet care within reach or not to far a drive away there prices are worth it for vasectomy, castration and spay(i get mine through the reading one) http://www.easipetcare.com/ Quote Link to post
