charlie caller 3,654
That brings back some memories, I bought one of these brand new in about 1978/79 there was a company that advertised in airgun world, you could have a tuned or none tuned version, I had the none tuned they also sold the full tuning kit for them, they were the no1 tuners rifle at that time, I seem to remember mine been bloody accurate too, nice work mate. 1 Quote Link to post
Adrian Kenny 64
Thanks buddy, am well happy with it! And she stacks pellets.. And a quite quiet! Can't put it down! Hats off to the open site brigade though I can barely hit the back stop never mind the bull haha! 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Thats what many of us grew up with mate, scopes were either very expensive, or cheap shi*e, and mounts were not much better, I remember putting plenty of game in the bag with open sights, including the first rabbit I ever shot aged 13 with a Crosman .22 pump pistol . 1 Quote Link to post
Adrian Kenny 64
I was thinking about this earlier today, I have grown up with scopes being around and reasonably priced! My hats off to you guys, I was getting a 3" grouping at 25 yards lol! Gonna practice a bit, would never hunt but it's very satisfying hitting a spinner with no scope lol Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Practice and you will find you will get very good with those open sights mate, a pal of mine hates scopes and refuses to have one on his rifle, and let me tell you he is a bloody good shot, easily head shoot a bunny at twenty five yards everytime. 1 Quote Link to post
Adrian Kenny 64
I am going to keep practising.. good feeling plinking without glass to be fair! Spanking a can at 30 yards is nice (took me two shots as I am getting used to the site adjustments) but I hit it lol Quote Link to post
Adrian Kenny 64
Am Definetly not confident enough to hunt yet, but I would never rule it out with a bit of practice after today!! Although I might swap rabbit for rat and be a bit closer lol 1 Quote Link to post
