Personally I wouldn't do it if he wanted the vixen and cubs killed in front of him. I would relocate them to a earth were they wont cause a problem Im not there for the job or pest control. Im there for the fun and to get the terrier a bark. And it Makes me chuckle when all the poachers become top pestcontrolers with great permission they cant loose lol i dont see any point in lieng Because your going to go out for a dig weather the fox is causing a problem or not..

I don't poach mate got plenty of land for terriers an running dogs an we are out every weekend during the season so who is lieng?
I don't mean you lol im just saying about summer hunters that lie if you know what im getting at?
sorry about that a thought you were having a dig at me an yeah I no what you are on about I tend to keep clear of all the muppets I've got an old timer I do my lamping with that nos his stuff all his life he's just been after one thing rabbit's same as the bloke I dig with all he's done is dig both are much older than me an they are the 2 people i spend most of the winter with so don't really do much with anyone else but I no what you mean the dog game is full of people I don't want to no

problem with cubs is the mess they make so even the least interested farmer will see them, if they are killing stock they have to go end of but if they are not and your left to yourself , a big old sm

Too big to get to small cubs pushed up in a tight tube and dont say that if a terrier has the desire to get there it will because that is rubbish

I used to be falling over foxes even in the summer months when I was a kid, I'd work upto and above 70 a year with one Jack Russell bitch. Terriers are worth their weight in gold but as stated they're

Terrers are a small part of fox control when done properly.Essential all the same when it matters but on keepered estates the snare and the rifle will do the majority.Anyone who thinks they can control fox to an exceptable keepered level with terriers alone is deluded frankly out of touch with what exactly is on the ground .

Nope...If you do a good enough job on your permissions during the winter you don't have to go back in summer, then he will need you in winter when other foxes claiming up territory are a plenty and up on there paws.... but if it HAS to be done it has to be done!

Thats naive, shooting land is often "out of bounds" in the shooting season,it can only be entered when the shootings done, which is when the recognised season is over. Its not a task many undertake with a sense of hunting satisfaction, yet is part and parcel of recognised terrier work.

Terriers are worth their weight in gold but as stated they're only part of the solution, they'll never compete with rifles and snares. I used to do my fair share of digging cubs but as I got older and wiser I couldn't face doing them, I'll stick with Glyn and keep pissing on holes and moving them on.

Places we'd be years back, some people would only be getting known to catch a fox to ground yearly when the were just laying young, small though and not big vast places like your on about. And roads the same as now with the fox probably in its own area looking for food for its very young

Now about though, through the years here the been snrg, and so, and probably at time when the be getting ready for young, and taking em out in the numbers, making the grey ones as scarce in numbers as your mungrel,
