I maybe should have given me self a ( call out), the back of my house, and i keep a couple of fowl, Foxes be sneaking in the garden probably every night and shitting in bowls. I dug four cubs last year in a stop, dog worked great, but i let em go. I get no satisfaction out of killing that. Years ago, yes, coudnt sort of help it, and most of it weren't good, and the would go scarce,

problem with cubs is the mess they make so even the least interested farmer will see them, if they are killing stock they have to go end of but if they are not and your left to yourself , a big old smelly terrier allowed to dig in on for a chain length a piss on the hole at the same time and cut a nice square of turf this will have the vixen move them in to cover or a better hidden earth , and every one is happy

On a grouse moor they have to go end off can't expect to go digging on ground all winter then keeper asks in April for you to do dens and you say no because it's not the done thing they would never let you back on

Turned a job down this week........his usual chap couldn't make it, 2nd bloke he rang there was no reply!! So i was 3rd choice..........not my ground not my problem especially seeing as i won't get a look in all next winter. Just look after those who put work my way all season

Personally I wouldn't do it if he wanted the vixen and cubs killed in front of him. I would relocate them to a earth were they wont cause a problem Im not there for the job or pest control. Im there for the fun and to get the terrier a bark. And it Makes me chuckle when all the poachers become top pestcontrolers with great permission they cant loose lol i dont see any point in lieng Because your going to go out for a dig weather the fox is causing a problem or not..

I don't poach mate got plenty of land for terriers an running dogs an we are out every weekend during the season so who is lieng?

The difference with permission you don't want to loose is when the keeper speaks to you it's "try here" instead of "what the f*ck you doing here" worth doing a few shitty jobs for in my book
