problem with cubs is the mess they make so even the least interested farmer will see them, if they are killing stock they have to go end of but if they are not and your left to yourself , a big old sm

Too big to get to small cubs pushed up in a tight tube and dont say that if a terrier has the desire to get there it will because that is rubbish

I used to be falling over foxes even in the summer months when I was a kid, I'd work upto and above 70 a year with one Jack Russell bitch. Terriers are worth their weight in gold but as stated they're

Found some fox cubs whilst walking in some sheep country today, mores the pity the farmer won't give us permission in the winter so he can kiss our arse if he thinks we'll do him a favour this time of the year.

Nope...If you do a good enough job on your permissions during the winter you don't have to go back in summer, then he will need you in winter when other foxes claiming up territory are a plenty and up on there paws.... but if it HAS to be done it has to be done!

Personally I wouldn't do it if he wanted the vixen and cubs killed in front of him. I would relocate them to a earth were they wont cause a problem Im not there for the job or pest control. Im there for the fun and to get the terrier a bark. And it Makes me chuckle when all the poachers become top pestcontrolers with great permission they cant loose lol i dont see any point in lieng Because your going to go out for a dig weather the fox is causing a problem or not..

I have turned down a few call outs I will only sort out cubs on my own shoot ...its not my cup of tea ....Can be frustrating for me and terrier ....the type I keep are on the big side and can make a decent terrier look very ordinary

Totally disagree with I do a fair bit on the grouse moors up here and the foxes are hammered whether its by rifle, snare, tracking in the snow ,hounds etc if there is a fox on there ground they will know about it but every spring there will be 1 or 2 dens will appear
