Trigger Hand Position.

What is your opinion on the different ways of holding the rifle with your trigger hand? I mean thumb position.

 

A grip round the pistol grip with the thumb or laying your thumb along the top.

 

Pro's and con's?

I don't think it makes much difference i think it's more important to have the rifle pulled into the same position in your shoulder so your head lands in the same place on the comb

I've tried a variety of grips and I have yet to find one that performs better than the others.

 

I always to try and make sure that the scope has no cant. Thats a good one to keep in mind.

If you're bench rest shooting you can probably get away with some form of fancy signature grip which people convince themselves makes a difference. I don't give the grip a second thought, just hang onto the bloody thing and take more care and thought over the trigger pull as from my experience that's where shots go wrong.

It doesn't matter a fig, so long as the bullet consistently arrives in the right place.
