I totally agree have used the 150 for two seasons now an have never had any issues with it.. Good tight beam an doesnt light up the whole field when running your quarry..

How long you lamping for?   My mates got one and we haven't run it flat. It's 4 hours constant use for a full charge. Unless you're scared of the dark you would have to be out for a long time to run

clulite Blazerlite with 100w bulb. It has hinged filter.

My pal has one of them cordless lamps and there canny good but they won't last a long nights lamping which is why I don't have one but a couple hours out on the bunnys and you carnt go wrong

Do they just cut out like the lithium battery's do.or do they dim down with use?

Just like the lithium but they take some running out.

I've done it twice, once on the way back to the car after 6/7 hours lamping and another time when I forgot to charge it the night before and it ran out as I was putting dogs in car.

Nice one fieldsport what is the difference between the 150 and 170 of is it just your personal preference. I like the look of the 150 and it's cheap it's just to get me started as I'm new to the sport but I'm getting there .corey

There's less side glare, the beam is clearer, the price is sensible, there's no wires to snag, repair and let you down or connection to come loose ........normally in the middle of a run.

They are the way forward for me. Atb

Plus you can charge it from the car when diving between spots and having a brew etc.

ive got a tracer rechargeable and have yet to run the battery flat on a night out, my mate has a 140 with a 12amp battery and we end up leaving his in the car. if you get one just be careful the lense doesnt fall out, ive glued mine in and its fine now, not to the best with a red filter on but other than that, superb little lamp. might be worth waiting for the new one to come out though.

Had the deben sportlight 150 and 170 striker side by side and I prefere the 150

Apart from the shit build quality the 150 is not as good as a Striker 170 . . . I tried one out and it was no where near as powerful and the beam color is just wrong...It way too Blue .

The new one due out should be better....But unless they have used a better colour temp LED it will still be a bag of shite. . . They need a warm glow and not a blue/white. . . . .But obviously the bright blue white looks better to the naked eye.

I disagree I have had these lamps side by side.

For me the 150 wins hands down and at £64 I could not warrant spending another £220 to get a lamp almost the same. Even if the striker setup was a little better but IMO the two are level pegged the difference is not worth £200+.

The light is a clearer colour and takes a bit getting used too.

I know one thing I won't be having any more wires snaged and connection come loose.

In my humble and worthless opinion your wrong. . . The colour is wrong...its not clearer...its wrong... the reflections of the Critters eyes at the end of the beam is all wrong.

Halogen reflects red on bunnies and when using these LEDS etc etc its white on all Critters.... :hmm:
