Girlypants 10
my experience comes from trying lots of high end NV add ons and stand alones, i just couldnt justify parting with my cash until i was satisfied with a few factors, 1 mainly being picture quality, 2 being able to service and fix easy, 3 cost, i found only pitch black had these factors, so i thought to myself, i wonder if all this about home builds is what its cracked up to be, so i bought all the kit and it sure is, so much so that after a few hunting mates have seen what a home build nv set up can do they soon wanted to build one them selves, all the wires ect can easily be tucked away and made to look real neat and factory made, trouble is tho you have to like tinkering, for people that dont like to tinker then i suppose they have no choice but to purchase a pricey already made, of which after testing the pitch black against the nitesite, there is no doubt that pitch black wins on all fronts, of course people have opinions, but im not after opinions, i just wanted a fact of which is best for the money and quality, and ive found out after a lot of testing and money the emperors new clothing Edited April 27, 2015 by Girlypants
hairy biker 14
I know it is personal choice, but I have never been a fan of the NiteSite. Not the product itself, but the idea. Aiming using the screen just doesn't feel right, plus I can't get on with all the additional stuff that you have to attach to your rifle. I've tried it, but its not for me. I'm a tradional "rifle and scope" chap. This combination is already enough for me to carry. Forget things like batteries and hanging wires. I'm exactly the same
