because there easy on lamp, and no test for a decent dog....its far more rewarding to catch them daytime.....i havn,t lamped hares for years now, but i ran some last week and the dog nailed every one he ran easily, i only did it because all the ground i course on is rock hard and the dog needed to get some running done, i wont be doing it again, as its a waste of a good animal to be caught so easily.

should whacth wat you are doing running them with the ban and all that....... pre ban i wouldnt say that hares are easy to catch on the lamp. the ones that you are running during the day might be better hares than the ones you have been lamping.

IMO WHATS WRONG WITH LAMPING' IS THE HARES RUNNING STYLE . ON THE LAMP THE ODDS ARE IN FAVOUR OF DOG/ S. IPOSTED EARLIER DONT KNOW WHERE IT WENT IF THATS HOW YOU GET YOUR HARES FAIR ENOUGH.

wat changes in the style when they run on the lamp then ted......
