Blackdog92 2,047 Posted May 30, 2015 Report Share Posted May 30, 2015 If you have a shearing machince or even some hand shears i would clipp there bellys out and a line out from the bottom of there neck to the chin that makes it easier to keep clean while butching thats what i do with mine before they go to slaughter. Or if you can sheep shear just shear the whole sheep it only takes 2 mins they shear them all before slaughter in france and noreway. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I left that part out on purpose! My first home kill was superseded by my first livestock escapee - 3x 8 acre fields is a lot to chase a spirited sheep around, especially when you're wearing wellies! At one point I thought I'd have to get the deer rifle and gun it down in front of all the neighbours but fortunately it didn't come to that and we caught it.
