keith j 1,088
Looks real nice land for a decent all round walk, the dogs are looking in good condition Keith and I would bet there will be some ferreting to be had there,is there much in the way of foxes around there ?? I ferreted the 2 golf courses this week as normal but have to carry so much stuff I have not bothered with the camera, I am extending my kitchen at the moment so I am only servicing my farms and golf courses, etc that I really have to, my air rifle is getting hammered at the present with using it everyday, I have just farmed out a bitch to my mate about a mile away where she will be worked everyday with him,I felt she needed to be worked alone as she has never quite fitted in with my lot so I am down to 3terriers and my lurcher and I may still lighten the load a bit yet as I am considering moving another bitch Plummer and the lurcher on if I think its right for them,I am up and down the country in the next month or so and am off to Grimsby on Saturday,if I get by you I will give you a shout, atb, WM It is nice land bud little bit of all kinds, hilly ,woodland ,grazing and crops abundance of wild life to.nice to be out there with the dogs, most of the ratting will be done on the lamp again now starting this week end, speak soon atb keith j. keith j 1,088
Hello again WM hope all is well with yourself and the team. Grace killed her first Stoat today a big male while out mooching.Had killed dozen or so rats in the afternoon before i have a flit round on the night with lamp, when Grace marked an old steel chest on its side, nowt unusual as i nail rats week in from here. This time like others held Jen and Merle back while Grace readied herself [always try and give young Grace as many chances i can too kill herself] lifted chest over Grace ran in and such a commotion was let loose then that unmistakable smell of mustelids filled the air and out came Grace stoat latched on ,and grace shaking ten bells out of it.Managed to get couple shots but it was over so quick and unexpected as i thought rattus was at home atb keith j. 9 Quote Link to post
