walshie 2,804
Now I can see what fish I have, if anyone has any information on these, I'd be grateful. I've tried looking through a couple of Koi mags and looking online, but can't seem to come up with an answer. Most of the fish look like I would expect Koi to look, but there's a couple of odd-looking ones. Please excuse the quality of the pics. The one on the left looks like a common carp, but has very dark scales, a black marking over it's eyes like a bank robbers mask and a pronounced forehead. The one on the right is almost completely scaleless, except for a ridge along it's spine. The one on the left here looks like a fully scaled common carp, except it is a very bright bronze/gold colour. The one on the right is the weirdest looking thing. It's the smallest fish here. It has massive dark scales and a really flat head. It's also the ugliest fish I have. Are these varieties of koi, bad specimens or nothing to do with koi? Cheers. bobcullen79 1,495
They look like the garden center ghosties and butterfly types. Nothing worth serious any dough I wouldnt have thought. The ones worth money have proper clear markings with no bleeding of the colours into each other. And predominantly white fish must`nt show any signs of yellowing.... I forgoten all the names now. Didn't expect them to be worth anything tbh. Just makes it less of a worry if i do something wrong.

littlefish 587
They don't look particularly 'high quality, show winning' specimens......however, they do look healthy! Enjoy they them for what they are....don't muck about too much with their water and don't overfeed them. I'm starting to miss mine now.....
