Hi all hope some friendly folk from around my area can help I have an air rifle and require a safe legal place to shoot I know I need land owner permission but to save the hassle of going door to door wondered if anyone knew of whereabouts in hull or surrounding areas :-)

Hi Rick. I'm more of the South Yorkshire way, but from what I've heard, Hull is pretty saturated with shooters, and land isn't easy to come by. Generally speaking, very rarely will you find permissions on forum, but in my experience, the best thing to do is use your friends and contacts. Even if it's a mate from the pub who works on a farm, chances are he could put a good word in for you with the farmer, and so on. Or, join a club, where you are likely to meet some people and make new contacts. If you have some insurance, it also puts landowners at ease, as it shows that you are responsible. It's by no means easy, but I empathise with you. Good luck, and I hope all goes well

I thought so from what I'v read and In a way was very reluctant of posting about permissions but you don't ask you don't get I suppose but I'm going to try my best and get my self out there and find some land the friendly advise is much appreciated so thank you for that I aim to join up to a club real soon :-) happy hunting (-:

If you dont want to knock on doors mate i cant see anybody letting you shoot on there land sight unseen so your only option is local airgun clubs
