Yokel Matt 918
The wife was supposed to be going out with some mates yesterday but her plans changed last minute at around 19:45, by 19:46 I had grabbed the gear and was out the door before she could come with any new ones! I got to the place I had in mind 5 minute later and was no sooner out the truck than back in it when it turned out a rugby match was on in the neighbouring field. Despite having had the permission for some time i'm still wary of rocking the boat with the neighbours, its not worth risking a peach on my doorstep, so I was off to plan B which I wasn't too hopeful of as a lot of bramble bashing had been done here recently. Bugger me... but trundling down the farm track in the truck a buck was couched in a patch of bluebells not 15 yards from the track. I parked 100m further on and was fortunate to have the lay of the land to allow me to get within 20m where I stood behind a forked tree. He sat looking over his back at me offering a tempting head shot but I decided to wait until the last minute incase he stood up. Three does rumbled me from my left but this chap wasn't bothered and just chilled there in the dwindling light. He started to get restless and I got the impression he would shortly rise so I got the rifle ready and my stance set so I could lean round the side and take the shot when it presented. He stood up, stretched, turned to like his balls, straightened up and then crumpled back down again. 2 Quote Link to post
