HPR 1,161
No mate not sure I know this might sound mad but the male was definatly a reed bunting from the pics the female was different giz a min to look it up
HPR 1,161
Yeah that's her mate I thought when I looked it up the eggs to the bunting was different wired the bunting always sits right near the nest while the warbler sits on it . Any clues to why this is . I don't know anything about this kind of thing
J Darcy 5,871
IMO the nest and the eggs are wrong for reed bunting.... Now, I'm not a gambling man, but if I had to , I would say Sedge Warbler.....
HPR 1,161
Yeah they are wrong from looking at the eggs on Google . while the reed or sedge warbler is on the nest the male reed bunting sits on a reed just above the nest he's always there that's why I had a little look . I've been watching skylarks too but I can't see them .
J Darcy 5,871
I have found that that the male reed bunting can be often up to twenty yards from the nest, so don't use him as your yardstick of identification. it's a great find though......

HPR 1,161
From looking on google its definatly a reed warbler . I'll bear that in mind tonight jd when I'm out on a walk see what else I can find. Cheers for advice and help .
OldTrapCollector 377
I think it is likely a sedge warbler, with an outside chance of being a garden warbler (they normally build higher up though) - I cannot be sure from the photo
