MoChara 1,632
Was not that long ago I was saying how great they got on.... Well they have made a lier out of me now. Yesterday two of them started tearing chunks out of one another, one light Sussex who isn't even 1yr old attacked my oldest rooster Clive who's a Minorca of some sort he's 2 this June. I was down putting wire at the corner of the run and he came over to me walking as if he wanted lifted, looked at him and saw the blood - I got the blood half stopped and put him in with the hens, he's ok now today seems fine so lucky. The young Sussex then turned on my gorgeous seabright x. He didn't get hurt, I got the Sussex and threw him in an old caravan till I could sort him, got back last night let him out of there and off he went into the coop not a peep or a evil look at the rest. So I let him be.. Seems he just snapped yesterday, I do have a few roosters but most of them are far far to nice a bird to neck or get rid of. Don't know what was going on yesterday but it was a nightmare! They were fighting and crowing all day! These birds are usually fine and seem ok today no fights as of yet. What could of set them off yesterday?
