Rabbit Hunter 6,613
I thought the same fox bolter, anything could have happened. I just thought it would liven the place up if I started a thread on it. And Dillydog you're spot on mate, most of the old boys were full of it and only branded a place 'undiggable' because they were scared to drop a dog in. There's 2 such places over the back of me and I've dug one of them at 4 foot in sand and the other I've dug at 0.6 and 0.8 a piece of piss. Edited April 21, 2015 by Rabbit Hunter 1 Quote Link to post

stop.end 4,082
youd be like the original scriber then...more time to pick a tree get your knife out and scribe that whole sentence into a young tree... instead of getting your terrier out of what as you say looks like a handling.... in all honesty its ironic..... no one wants that situation... but when the terrier is in that's when you find out about character both from terrier and owner. 1 Quote Link to post
THE GENERAL 1,982
I remember going to a spot one day just off a main road, pulling into the driveway of a direlict two storey house, windows and doors boarded up and a few out buildings surrounding. There was a lovely sweeping deep bank behind the house that had a few nice burrows on it. First time I was ever at this place. Eitherway we had a good few hours spent on that bank and everything went well. One of the lads was caught short so he decided to go to one of the outbuildings to do the business since we were only the other side of the hedge to the main road. He came back and said about a load of signs in the shed saying " No Trespassing, No Hunting" etc. Proper signs that had been left in that place for God knows how many years. Anyway when we had finished up we checked out these signs and I along with the rest thought it would be a good idea to use them to our advantage. Tied one to the main gate at the start of the driveway hung a few up on the trees and placed a few around the outbuildings. I was only back twice after that but there was a hunt in it each time. About 8 years later cutting across country with different lads we drove the opposite direction heading home past that spot and the driver said thats some bank in there but nobody's allowed to do it this years. I chirped up and asked why. Then the inevitable happened and I explained I was guilty of putting the signs up. Such a mouthful I got lol. Turned out most lads had stayed away from it because of the signs. We pulled in and had a result then a laugh after it and everyone agreed that the plan had worked. Unfortunately a new road has been made now on that ground and there's nothing left of it, bank and all is away. Pity all the same. Edited April 19, 2015 by THE GENERAL 8 Quote Link to post

chilli 381
Ive been on quite a few invites over the years in different parts of the country ,when you get there thats when the craic starts with we usually keep away from this place or were going to a new spot that weve never been too . Usually end up big old spots or are in bad places , then I wait till it comes .Can you drop youre dog in here , thats when I normally think to myself you cnuts i'm been set up again . But to be fair I normally do & normally end up getting the job done . On my way home i'm feeling proud of the dog tha'ts worked that day but I also think that theyve either no confidence in their dogs or they don't want their dogs showing them up . Either way iv'e got confidence in my dogs & get some very good results with them . Edited April 19, 2015 by chilli 8 Quote Link to post
