jeppi26 1,855
Are these for your aviary mate? If so and there for canneries you want nest pans mate
gnasher16 30,123
If its for Canaries mate i found i had to sling them wicker ones after 1 clutch whereas with the plastic ones just clean them and away you go again if your breeding in cages that is...and of course they have a little door so easy access to eggs if your a clumsy f****r like me !.....in an aviary i had the nest felts stitched into the plastic pans but probably too much messing about looking back......wicker for aviary, plastic for cages in my limited experience. stealthy1 3,964
What birds do you have, some birds won't go into a dark nest box, so you may need pans. Like Gnash said, the easier to clean the better, gets expensive if you have throw away nests pans and boxes.

Guest Navek
These are for canaries in an svairy .not really looking to breed them but if they do then so be it.so for canaries in an svairy do I just need nest pans ??? Was also thinking about winter time thought a nest box would give that little bit more cover/shelter .cheers
jeppi26 1,855
Canaries are a hardy sort of bird when it comes to cold weather all I'd did was cover my flight in clear plastic sheeting or the green netting scaffolders use and the birds where fine.
delboy_187 904
Birds won't need bowls boxes for winter try get some clear perspex to sheet it up or some local election signs on poles or tarp just keep the breeze off them and In snowy conditions you might loose a few think every one has lost some threw the winter atb delboy
