trappa 518
My mate has just give me some high velocity stingers for my .22 lr. Anyone used them before and what are they like? He gave me nearly 100 ( which was nice). Do these bullets give a power/velocity of a .22 centrefire or is it still way off? Any help or info at all will be appreciated. Quote Link to post
bunnyspotter 43
hello mate, id heard they were very good off a lot of people before id aquired any- i managed to get hold of case and wow !! ive reason to believe they travel around 1400 ft per second and the trajectory is a lot flatter. Id already zeroed my rifle to rws subsonics 50 yards, the stingers were still shooting flat at 100 Quote Link to post

Guest Macnas
They are flat shooting, but they are fecking screamers noise wise. Quote Link to post
bshadle 5
They also give less than optimum accuracy in many rifles. Quote Link to post
IanB 0
There pretty crap to be honest for most things, I'd get an HMR if you want flatter shooting... Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
From my past experince with the CZ .22 i use to have, they would chamber tight, shoot bad and were loud!! As for them being as powerfull as a centerfire, no way, their not even close to a .22 magnum. If your just shooting bunnys mainly, which is what a .22 lr is desighned for, then subsoninc ammo, with a moderator, zeroed at 60 yds would be far more accurate and quieter. Good luck. Deker 3,478
The Stinger is 1640ft sec at the muzzle and 191ft lb. It is a 32g copper coated Hollow Point designed for hunting use. Regardless of whatever anyone tells you (and what you might expect from the figures above) the grouping is far from good! They do also chamber tight in my CZ Silhouette, cause occasional loading problems and as mentioned above are f*****g noisy! I have settled on the Velocitors now, they are more consistant (although still not good) and at 1435ft sec and 40g arrive with a thump! You will also note they do not come anywhere close to the power of a.22 centrefire! Deker Edited November 11, 2007 by Deker Quote Link to post
