You would need to say what setup your looking at. Add on, dedicated setup, personally I'd avoid the nitesite style of monitor mounted to a rifle scope, but others get on with them.

I've seen quite a view online with the screen on the scope, I don't know much about NV scopes, rather than have cables and screens and lasers all over the shop would rather just have a single scope on its own.

For the price and a really clear picture you cant beat pitch black for a stand alone day and night scope, you get everything you need, ive tried many a NV scope and found most to be very grainy and not that clear, tho if you really want the best for your money and like to tinker then id say build your own, stand alone or add on, theres plenty of help and pointers on the nightvision forum, also if you get the right camera and lens youll find it hard to beat the quality
