Throttlemonkey 9
Can I jump onto something like that after passing straight away ? Any other advice for a virgin rider ? Your instructor will(should) teach you how to ride a bike! Most of us learned by trial and error and it hurts more than training and getting it right out the box a 1200 bandit is now pretty tame compared to high end bikes but easy to maintain and cheap bits with not much to go wrong mate

DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
Done a lesson in a car at 17 and thought... Na... Done my cbt and bike test... Started on a cagiva planet 125, Suzuki bandit 600, tl1000r, gsxr600, rsv mille, tl1000s, zx7r, gsxr 750, ktm 625smc, another rsv Mille and finally a zx9r... Used my old mans tuono factory for a while... I used to ride to fast on the roads... Got lucky a few times.. Saw my brother crash a triumph 955 at speed.. It's the best fun I've ever had bar nothing...5am on a Sunday morning on a big twin, front wheel up, massive grin... Couldn't do it now...if I had another it would be for the track... Frann 882
I loved my DT 50 when I was 16 back in the eighties. Thought it was the fastest thing on 2 wheels

Full of character and easy to mend or kick straight, I still like 'em today as much as i ever did. Recently though, I've been lusting after a speed triple.

fox digger 1,086
Would I just book a course and get some lessons I want something for sone solitary weekends cruising round the countryside Was thinking of a Suzuki bandit ? direct access ... google itim gonna get a dt or kmx for flying to work and back then maybe look for a nsr250 or bigger , cant beat the 2 strokes Yes you can, get a 4 stroke!!! Lol, the rd500 is the 2stroke you want if your into them, or a cr500 supermoto old classics! I love my bikes and couldn't be without one, have a bandit 1200 and z1000, id reccommend the z as a reliable user friendly comfortable bike, but has loads of grunt for when you get better on one.
tsteve9999 456
I took up biking again in my mid forties, and over the next 10 years or so me and the missus rode all over Europe each year and once across Montana for 3 weeks. I gave it up in my late 50's simply because I had a near 60 year olds reactions and a 17 year olds mind, I was terrified I'd have an accident with the wife on the back. Keep to the speed limits and you'll be fine, but sitting on a machine the can out perform most supercars to 100mph is soooo tempting if you have an attitude like mine.
