Lab 10,979
I've got the 170 with 12" chain. Great wee light saw. I'm using it to cut fences down and hedges and I'm always catching nails and shit. Only so many times a chain can hit crap. But at £20 for a new chain I just replace after a while. Waz 4,274
Cord on mine needed changing, a mate said its easy enough, but watch out the recoil starter spring dont jump out at you.....guess what happened. So a few youtube videos later ive opted for buying a new spring and keep the plastic holder to try and put the old one in and keep as a spare. Not in the right frame of mind to do it yet and got a top handled one that'll keep me ticking over for now.

Sounds like your using the wrong tool for the job so it does if you were to have a stihl saw around then buy this blade for it there about £117 but will last for years cutting through stuff that will blunt a £15 chainsaw blade instantaneously I have had one for two years now and took out 6 stumps with it and it's hardly touched it

I do have a Stihl saw so that could come in handy. Only thing with the Stihl is how close you can get into bits. I'll definitely look into getting one of them though...cheers.
