9Mm Garden Gun

Recommended Posts

My mate had a bit of a thin out of his guns and gave me a 9mm garden gun that belonged to his dad. His dad had a massive garden and used it to keep the corvids pigeons etc off his vegetables. I got some 9mm no 6 fiocchi cartridges for it F#CK are they expensive don't know much about these little shotguns ????

Does anyone know much about the garden gun ?? Thanks max

I have one , you need to be bloody close to something to kill it humanly , I used it to kill pigeons in the barn but a decent air gun is a much better tool ..thinking about it if anyone wants one its a giveaway ..

They're good to teach safety.

How old are your kids? I think I'd still go for at least a .410 if you are looking for something small for ratting. It will have a bit more longevity and be more generally useful.

You have to balance the size of the gun with the likelihood of them getting a kill, my old man started me on a single barrelled 12g when I was 8. Had the stock cut down and the barrel shortened so it fit a bit better. Then just used light cartridges. Shot my first widgeon with it the next season.

Cheers mate. I have 2 girls 8 and 6 and my lad who's 4.

Not planning on my lad shooting yet but the girls both have air rifles and the eldest has shot rabbits, rats and pigeons. And has been out with me with the .22lr and .22-250 rabbiting and foxing.

This is awesome mate. Long may it continue.
