His dad had a massive garden and used it to keep the corvids pigeons etc off his vegetables. I got some 9mm no 6 fiocchi cartridges for it F#CK are they expensive don't know much about these little shotguns ???? Does anyone know much about the garden gun ?? Thanks max Quote Link to post
Skull Hooker 185
Unless its got any personal sentiment attached to it which would prevent its sale, i'd flog it and buy a fully moderated 410, ,maybe a pump or S/A. Quote Link to post
3175darren 1,100
Yes they are expensive to feed,I suppose they have there uses, but as said by skull hooker 410 is a lot handier and around a garden, with a 2 inch cartridge it's spot on,and almost totally silent, Quote Link to post
leegreen 2,180
Use it to teach the children about guns and gun safety, that's about it. Not fare to try and kill something with it. Quote Link to post
sussex 5,777
I have one , you need to be bloody close to something to kill it humanly , I used it to kill pigeons in the barn but a decent air gun is a much better tool ..thinking about it if anyone wants one its a giveaway .. SportingShooter 0
I have one, fired it 6 times perhaps. Nice as curios and really close control around buildings but that's all. Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
As a curio, i've always wanted to own one. think i'd need my FAC first... Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
might look at getting one. Looking for a handy little ratting gun and something to get kids started on. I have a .410 and 12g and fac but looking at 9mm garden guns on YouTube they look ideal for the kids to start with Quote Link to post
Hydropotesinermis 724
They're good to teach safety. How old are your kids? I think I'd still go for at least a .410 if you are looking for something small for ratting. It will have a bit more longevity and be more generally useful. You have to balance the size of the gun with the likelihood of them getting a kill, my old man started me on a single barrelled 12g when I was 8. Had the stock cut down and the barrel shortened so it fit a bit better. Then just used light cartridges. Shot my first widgeon with it the next season. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Cheers mate. I have 2 girls 8 and 6 and my lad who's 4. Not planning on my lad shooting yet but the girls both have air rifles and the eldest has shot rabbits, rats and pigeons. And has been out with me with the .22lr and .22-250 rabbiting and foxing. 2 Quote Link to post
max abell 196
Thanks for the replies. I did think it may be of some good for the ferrel pigeons in the barns of some farms I shoot and ferret on. But by the sound of it I will proberbly carry on using the silenced 410 2 Quote Link to post
