air gun ant 1,666
may be its all the kids that dont know how to fish properly and "how too" handle fish they drop the fish and gets banged about on rocks or what ever ??come on now lol this isn't like a commercial carp pond, it's the sea, fish will come in and out on the tide and the likely hood of the same fish being caught multiple times is gonna be pretty slim isn't it. Is there any commercial fishing boats there jairon? It sounds like bycatch to me that's managed to avoid the gulls and the rest of the predators. Some flatties (flounders in particular) can live a surprisingly long time out of water and are fairly hardy fish compared to other species. What type of flatties were you catching mate? I do agree baited feathers arnt what I'd be using this time of year, but then I've never even been to, let alone fished Bridlington lol I'd stick to 2 up 1 down paternoster with about size 2 to 1/O hooks for this time of year (scratching rigs) then another 5/6 weeks start thinking about the round fish. The winter species have all but moved on now and summer fish are yet to arrive. But that's just my opinion! Lol Edited April 13, 2015 by air gun ant 1 Quote Link to post

If you want some advice on improving your catch lad just ask, there is a lot of knowledge on here jairon and I'm sure if you tell us where your fishing and what your targeting, between us all we can help you. 2 Quote Link to post
Jairon Fletcher 29
Oh yeah I'm not saying I know everything but I know enough that it wasn't my fault that the fish end up this way, I'm trying to exclude that the fish that end up in this brutal way is a fisherman a fault, it was a small muppet btw! I thought if I wanted a flatty I wanted one where I can feel the fight haha and I don't tie my own feathers because I like the set I've got, I'm a superstitious fisherman and they've been good, and I don't know about the commercial fishing around brid area but I think it's cos of that mate Quote Link to post
