Cleanspade 3,324
you will get a decent DSLR. for that price. nikon or canon seem to be the favourites. check out google for best price. on new kit. or ebay if your looking to go second hand. or gumtree. there are some crackin bargains on dslr just now .new and second hand. if your relatively new to this look for an entry level dslr. just remember it gets addictive. ps try youtube for info on buying your first dslr. Sadly,..I don't... I realise that this Nikon camera was designed with the Semi pro in mind, and it is presumed that the operater has a firm grasp of the various dials,.but,.truth is, I wish that there was an AUTO facility....a kind of, 'point and shoot' menu... I am fed up, travelling to a far away destination ,..allowing my cur to hunt up her quarry,..only for me to waste the opportunity of an action shot. Upon reflection,...the Nikon D300 was maybe a bridge too far ,...especialy for an old fool and his dog...
jcm 2,327
Think I'd need an entry level camera tbf and I have looked at some of the cameras suggested and from reading some reviews the Nikon d3200 sounds more suited to me with no photography experience, I'm sure I read that it was an entry level camera and was decent at action shots which is what I'm after. Cleanspade 3,324
i had that camera. it is a decent first camera. the best i found for a first dslr was the nikon d3000. can be bought for coppers now. i also liked the canon 350d. . any of the nikon d3000 series are good entry level camera,s . stick a good lens on them and your in with a shout edited to add they have lots of idiot modes for us oldies. untill you grasp some of the techy stuff. IMO, there is only one single mode to shoot on and that's manual. No if's or but's, manual is the only way anyone is going to consistantly get useable photos of working lurchers. But that's just my opinion.
