I love the area known as Rannoch Moor, the pic of Boots at 1st light looking down onto some lochs and peat bogs is taken there, its an expanse of over 50 square miles of harsh terrain,I set off to have a wander over the bogs but I thought better of it after only walking several hundred yards of it and barely able to see as it wasn't quite light and only being on my own I thought it may of been a bit stupid being honest so climbed the hills looking down on the Moor..go do it buddy, you will love it ?

? On the bonny bonny banks of Loch Lomond ?

Rannoch moor is an awesome place but this is definitely the right time to go. A damp evening in July can be hell on earth with the sun literally blocked out by the numbers of midgies :o
