Dead Eyes 681
Yeah, but the animals don't run on %'s - so 20% protein of 400g of meat makes 80g protein That's the important bit... The macronutrients But we were talking about percentages not macros. Lol Of course we are, but only with a view to seeing the right amounts for a dog What I'm saying is that you and shroom are right in doing what you're doing because they're still getting their 100g of protein (or whatever it is) per day. Whether you're feeding 300g of 33% protein dry food, or 500g of 20% chicken carcass doesn't make a difference if you're only looking at what protein your dog's getting. And a dog will need a certain amount of protein and fat to perform at a certain standard Look into IIFYM - it's geared towards humans but it's the same principle

trenchfoot 4,243
What do people think of Markus muhle n lukulluss, they sound ok apart from having maize n beet pulp in but might try a bag.. The MM stuff is very good. highly digestible and does not swell up like a lot of kibble when wet. I used to feed it but one of the dogs went off it for some reason, And wont touch it now. I fed it as a mixer when the dogs were in work, and as a complete food when rested and all did fine

I give mine plenty of variety and they do well. Don't weigh anything or worry about protein levels.
Raymond 618
never left dogs diet to chance, always weighed the dog and the amount of food its fed. At different times of the year they get fed different quantities of food
