MoChara 1,632
Right well, long story short when my mum moved into her house a few years ago they had a bench above the bench was a deep planting area. Now last year she wanted it all cleared and barked so I pulled the mint out and turned over the soil (I'm no gardener so no clue what I was doing) anyway it was great job. UNTIL the mint grew back, so again I dug it out soil an all (back breaking) then she put on some strong weed killer.put meal bags over it and barked the whole thing. It's grew back again, through the meal bags! we can't kill it it's unbelievable, been dug out, pulled out turned over and poisoned the shit still comes back! Maybe it's somewhere under the wood I've no idea! Help! It won't die.

sussex 5,802
I wouldn't dig it up but just keep poisoning it , I had a similar problem with horse radish , leave one tiny bit of root & the bloody stuff is growing again , I stopped digging it because it was just spreading it further .I let it grow till it was looking flush the hit it with the roundup it took about six goes over the course of a year or so to finally kill it ..may work with the mint ..
