It's a while since I read it but I don't think there was much " dick measuring " going on. A real eye opener for people interested in hunting with whippets. Fair play to all the lads that toolk the trouble to put up pics and video 6 Quote Link to post

jetro 5,349
Will most if not all whippets work rabbit or do they have to be worker to worker bred or certain lines. ATV j Quote Link to post
brenner 773
Mostwhippets will work rabbit. But the chances of getting an independent, head strong , stand there looking off into the distance while ferret is under. Shivery, nervous little dog that gives whippets a bad name, is greatly increased by buying any old whippet off d.deal.on other hand, and I'm not saying the whippet has to have a ped to back it up.. But if you know your pup is from a long line of workers, bred for speed, nose, intelligence, trainability, heart and just alround good work ethic.. Well ye see where I'm going with this. there are dogs that catch rabbits and then there are rabbiting dogs. 3 Quote Link to post
