tatsblisters 10,465
Brilliant pics green lurchers. Some of my earlier memories were of whippets taking rabbits and hare's on land that was not easy going with small fields thick hedgerows and fences. I know when i saw for the first time one of the Caithness dogs that came to the area that was predominantly a stocky whippet it's recovery rate and tenacity was very impressive to say the least. 1 1 Quote Link to post

tatsblisters 10,465
I always compare the whippets and small whippet types I have seen with there exciting type of running to the goshawks I have seen on rabbits a lot more exciting than the Harris hawks I have seen on the same quarry. 4 Quote Link to post

You not most definitely gone get the quarry to show it’s true form , do u find it easier to walk move when you walk good ground ? Or is it only me that finds it a bit more draining and harder to go lamping walking over saturated ground ? Edited December 22, 2023 by green lurchers Quote Link to post

Expand it’s definitely easier to walk the drier land mate the wet is hard work aint it only thing worse is wet hilly land lol i’d say the hare runs the wet better then the dog can on drier land you will kill a lot more then you will the slop it’s hard work for the mutt it just gets wet most land i run mate 1 Quote Link to post
