Never had a dog what a good blast with hose pipe doesn't sort.

You already tried that?

I would have said that, it worked with every dog I tried it on except one, she whined and whined so out came the water, I near drowned her in the end but guess what? The bas***d still whined. It's well worth a try but doesn't stop all of them.

Does anyone use the vibrating dog collars to stop barking and whining? If so can you suggest a good one as my dog has started to bark/whine whilst in the kennel. If I go out she stops but 10 mins later she is at it again.. Thanks

I use to mess about with hose pipes and hiding round corners waiting for dogs to wine ect. And all I found is in some cases it learns dogs to be quite when your there.

Now I just use a electric collar.

Use correctly it corrects any problems with no messing around.

would definitely try spray collar first it has the benefit of working while your not there. It does no harm just breaks the dogs line of thought and a wiff. Sure some won't bat an eye lid or just bark till its empty. Mine may do one day but at the moment when he does try it on its never more than once.Test it while you are there first obviously as per the instructions in case the dog has bad reaction and goes loopy or some thing

try the anti bark collar it may well work, after all it's what it has been designed for, a good run before you go out definitely will help but from experience it's not always possible, you need to distract or entertain the dog so it's not bored and whingey, it's still a puppy in effect, so it needs things to play with, maybe a Kong full of treats or a radio on, have you seen the video on youtube of the bottle treat dispenser, kept the dog occupied for ages and real easy to make. Going down to the kennel every time it howls is counter productive as that's what it wants, your attention, if your worried about your neighbours moaning, go round, take a bottle of wine or a few beers and show them that your being pro-active and aware that your dog may be howling when your not there and your looking for solutions. E collars work if used correctly, buy a decent one not a cheapy off the internet, one with a vibrate function as well as a shock function, use the vibrate first and then if the dog keeps howling then shock, it'll soon get the idea that after the vibrate a shock ids on it's way and after a while all you'll need is the vibrate function, some collars can be set to vibrate when the dog barks or howls, won't take long and the jobs a good en

some animals have high drive and high energy hyper etc, there will be occasions when normal ticks cons etc don't work . but some scream whine etc for many different reasons making mistakes with a a animal his easily overlooked by some ,his this animal a whiner for the wants off indoors ,the handlers attention or just plain old bored ,building drive in a driven animalhis what some want and can use to there benefit , using shock type collars can be of use ,but would sugest has a last resort to save the animal from either being passed aroud or culled. there will be a ways round the situation and PATIENCE his key in the waysyas go about it good luck and keep at it.atb bunnys.

I use one with a beep and a shock. One side of remote beeps then shocks the other side just beeps. It has power settings to give you differant powerd shocks and I test it on my self before dog.

After a couple shocks the beeb is all I need, it does not takes long to get results.

I think I use the same one as you. Mine has beep, vibrate, shock and a light.

I beeped didn't work, vibrate didn't work, shocked at 75% and bang did the job lol. Used to be dead against shocking them but it's the only thing that's worked. Now he knows if the collars on he may not bark so he's quiet even with the feel of the collar now, very odd time he gets the buzz (vibrate).

It's fecking tempting to lift the bugger when he keeps at it I have to control myself

Also I tested it on myself first at the highest, near half flew across the room so he's never got near that! Lifted me that did.
