shropshire mole 190
Been shooting rats with the air rifle & deben mini pro which is ok. Would like to upgrade to NV, but since its only a few rats I am shooting would at this stage keep costs down. Any advice on what to go for? ATB
hutchey 147
Options are as limitless as your pockets are deep. Home made options on the nightvision website are aplenty. Yukon Photon Snipercam Wardy Cam If it's just short range then i'd make my own again using some bits from the likes of ludicrous lumens or similar suppliers
IanB 0
Wait a month and the photon xt 6.5 will be out, easy to mount, good eye relief, similar to normal scopes, usable magnification range, to be fair for the money there very good. Yukon Photon XT 6.5 x 50 Scope

shropshire mole 190
Been having a look today, this one is in the price bracket now at £400 Yukon Photon XT 4.6x42 Digital Night VisionHas anyone got one, know how good they are? Hopefully be an investment for the future and don`t want to have to buy again (ever)
Tremo 138
A lot of scope for the money. Punches well above its weight for sure. As IanB said though, the 6.5x50 is due out in the next month of two. If you need the extra mag then wait for that model. Personally, I feel that if you only intend to shoot rats and rabbits (close range stuff) then the 4.6 magnification is good enough.
rodp 316
I've got a photon 1, the 5x42 version and it's OK. Just bought an X sight for moire range and building a scopeless for another rifle. Once you get the nv bug you're doomed, doomed I tell ya. PS, wait until you try thermal Then you'll be completely bu**ered.
jacknife 2,005
Been having a look today, this one is in the price bracket now at £400 Yukon Photon XT 4.6x42 Digital Night Vision Has anyone got one, know how good they are? Hopefully be an investment for the future and don`t want to have to buy again (ever) I had the first model that was released of the Yukon photon and thought it was rubbish And like many other sold it straight away Don't know what the new models are like
Tremo 138
I've recently picked up a 4.6x42 XT. I had one of the original models too. Fair play this new unit blows the socks off the old one. Obviously it is not in the same league as the Drone Pro, but for sub £400 (that's what I paid) you can't go wrong. I use it on my .22LR and it's just perfect for that scenario. One niggle I did have though was that I had to shim up the tube on the back mount. Out of the box it just didn't have the elevation that I required. This was true of the original model. No big deal though and easily fixed.
