There was me thinking I was gonna see some proof ^_^ just the usual. DS a stout beliver thinks Leopards do not exist in the wild, so all those "Black Cats" will be moggies in his eyes too, and mine!

Dawn; I quit bothering to attempt to contribute to this supposed Discussion once it became painfully clear to me that you, for one, were only interested in being recognised as the last word on this entire subject. A character trait, perhaps?

See; I don't personally believe in the Xtian concept of " God ". They do. I don't. That's fine by me. Same goes for Shinto, Bhuddist, the whole shebang.

I'm not personally interested in football either. So I wouldn't dream of walking into a Chelsea Supporters place and trying to hammer the view down their throats that, say, Arsenal are a better team.

I've never visited Guattamala. Nor have I any earthly interest in the place ~ where ever it may be. But I'm not about to barge into a Travel Agents and start swinging a handbag and demanding " Proof " that such a place exists. I mean; What " Proof " could they possibly offer that would convince me? Especially if my mind was hermetically sealed against such conviction? Eye whitness accounts? Liars! Mistaken at best. Photographs? Hah! PhotoShop! Sworn statements from qualified people? Uh, uhh! Positivists exist in every discipline and Can be sought and bought. Ye Not fooling Me!

See what I'm saying, Dawn? I Know I'm me, sitting here typing these words out. Maybe You don't wish to believe me on that either? Is that My problem? Am I to waste yet More time trying to convince you of what I personally believe? Do ye honestly think Your opinion Matters to me? Above and beyond the words of people I've personally known for decades? PUL EEEASE!!!

Oh, and Dawn? The bit about Your ideas of what I may make of the 'Black Cats' out there? I asked ye, somewhere above - no; You search it out, I Know I said it and can't be bothered to trawl all that lot - I asked ye already not to try putting words into my mouth. Thankyou ;)

It also demonstrates ye ignorance of the fundamental, biological nature of the very cats I've been Trying to speak of.

Ok. I only spoke up because ye having a direct little pop at me again. As to the rest of this futile discussion? Feel free. Enjoy, Dawn. Have ye covetted last word and 'Prove' to the world that yours is the only Truth out there.

Some may believe ye word. Others will not. Can ye live with that, Dawn? Rhetorical question. Ask yeself.

:bye:

He further enhanced my own, personal conviction that there Are No Leopards at large in uk. He told me; Even Leopards bred for generations in captivity, suffering no competition for their 'prey', Still shove their food up trees. It's genetic in that species.

See? I'm open minded. But I'm Not stupid. If there were leopards in uk, there'd be - IMHO - dead sheep, deer and Dogs, even the odd child, dripping down from trees. Unquestionable. People Would notice that sort of shit! I agree totally; It just doesn't happen. Nor have I ever, Anywhere, suggested it might or should.

Your words DS, or did I imagine them too??? :whistling::whistling: If you dont believe Leopards are "at large" in the UK (your wording again) then these "Black Cats" in that film could be what else? the even rarer Jaguar?:laugh: Those that think the film is proof (Not you DS, youll have another go at me ;) ) take a look at the other animal X videos on youtube, you'd be amazed whats "out there" :D

I reckon Large black cats are just household pets caught at a funny angle on film, they're built different to either a Puma/Leopard size for size and have different tail carridge, the 3rd cat on the Youtube footage thats brown is the only realistic one in the clips, the others just household mog's!.

i agree i only saw one out of all the clips that looked somewhat believable.

my opinion is in this day and age.... with photo shop, internet and all that crap... i need to see physical proof to believe it. i wont totally close my mind to it. and i wont believe with all my heart... but i'll keep my mind open towards the possibility. but its the same thing in my area... some say the Florida panther is extinct except for in south florida.. but i know three people that are close to me that have seen and heard them in the wild.. but that was more than ten years ago. if those cats are still alive now, or even their offspring, i doubt it.... still... i'm waiting to see tracks or a body with my own eyes.... in Florida i mean.. you guys in the UK are on your own lol

its easy for someone to get film of a cat while on vacation in say... California... then go back home to where ever in the world they live.. and claim they filmed it there... a field looks like a field.. no matter where in the world you are. and who could dispute it? i have some realistic pictures of dragons... someone stuck bat wings on a Gilapigos iguana... and then perched that lizard on a rock in the middle of a field in Scotland.... looks pretty damned real lol

and then you always have this little critter!!!!

Hi Simoman.

No, I dont think everyone else is wrong, I have ALWAYS said I do NOT disbelieve what people think they saw, but we have no proof of what they saw, so untill that time, myself and many many others will just not accept the fact these Cats freely roam the country.

Its been said so many times, with all the equipment we are blessed with, there should of been conclusive, concrete proof by now, not pictures from years ago and grainy footage of what looks to me and others on here is a domestic Cat and nothing more.

I have also always said that I do accept there have been Big Cats in our countryside, but not living breeding animals, escaped pets, zoo specimans etc... I stand by that too. I will also say again the creation of "designer breeds" such as the Ashera, Savanna and Bengal Cat, ALL use wild Cats in their making, it stands to reason F1 hybrids and more dilute specimans could easily be mistaken for Big Cats, and yes you can get a black bengal, which would be homes as a pet as they dont want the solid colours, so would be in a better position to be out in the open.

Ill be honest now and say I could swear I saw 2 Pine Martens on Cannock Chase, call me what you will, I have never mentioned it because I cant prove it, I too know what I saw, but nobody would believe me because there has never been one seen in the area, so I keep it to myself. People open themselves up for comment on a public forum when they enter into it, I cant see what the problem is just because somebody disagrees with them, it goes on all the time, life would be incredibly boring if everybody agreed with everybody else! :wallbash:

Sooooo once and for all!

I dont disbelieve what people think they saw, and have always said that!

I do accept there have been Big Cats in the countryside, which have escaped, but I do not accept there are living breeding animals out there as there is no proof of it. One Cat here and there does not qualify as a population.

Hope that clears it up!

Thanks Simoman, Im not trying to be difficult, just stating the explanations that may be responsible for such sightings, I realise that many disagree, but like I said, its what makes the world go round. Its certainly nothing personal, especially to DS, I find his posts most interesting. :)

Re: Pine Martens, Im sure they were, certain, and Im going there again tomorrow, same area, who knows I might be lucky!

Dawn.
