roybo 2,873
I bred my bitch at 8 ,in hind sight I wish I'd have done it at about 6,for a couple of reasons. 1. It would have been easier on her 2. She'd have had an apprentice waiting to take over when she slowed down. 3.if she produced decent pups there would have been time to breed her again, 4. If the mating didn't click with the sire I could have tried another route. 5. She could have died at any time, whilst working.and you won't get chance them If she's proven herself over 5 seasons you a're not going to see anything in the next 2 years that will make her more worthy 4 Quote Link to post

I didn't want to line her she have the pups out on the land one day and... she spews it. Id be guttered about the bitch but more so about the pups. I like to tell my self I'm breeding for right reasons and for what I've seen with my own eyes I think it's worth taking the line forward but this is IMO. I'm gonna try take a litter from her this year and slow things down hopefully she still be going to bring pups on.. atb mate Quote Link to post
