Alan... 172
Alright chaps, got my first PCP today, went for a pump instead of a tank, the problem I've got is the adaptor that plugs into the rifle seems to just leak all the air, as if the O rings aren't thick enough? Am I being stupid or is this a common problem? Guessing the pressure from a tank would be great enough for it not to be a problem? Alan. Quote Link to post
pernod 466
Is everything tight between pump an fill probe. Have you put plumbers tape on the threads of the fill probe.. pernod Quote Link to post
hoggysreels 76
Try the pump on another pcp ... might be worth having you"re R8 pressurised at a gunshop initially. When it drops to say 120 bar; pump the R8 up to 200bar .. that will give you 90'ish shots ... atb Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
put a little silicone grease on the orings of the probe .a little very little and only silicone grease or the special grease for pcp air guns . This may get you out of trouble .you may need new orings on the probe and you can put a little silicone grease on them to stop them wearing in use Quote Link to post
Alan... 172
Cheers lads but figured it out last night, what felt like air coming out of the gun was actually leaking between the pump hose and gun adapter, sorted with an O ring Quote Link to post

Alan... 172
Just looked them up, they look good. but I'm a plumber and have O rings a'plenty, if it blows again I'll get a dowry, cheers mole Quote Link to post
