gun licence hike backed

a move to increase the cost of gun licences has been hailed by the police
and crime commissioner for warwickshire.at the moment a firearm or shotgun licence
costs £50.00- but processing the application costs an average £200.00.ron ball estimates
tax payers in warwickshire and west mercia pay nearly £1m covering the short fall.from april 6th the costs will be £88
for a firearm cert and £79.50 for a shotgun.

So coterminous works out at £18 per year for the grant and £13 a year for renewal. I hate any costs going up but I still think that's a fair price.

put it this way, its not gonna stop me sending my application in! And im not exactly made of money lol its taken me months to save up for the new cabinet so whats an extra £40? its just an afternoon in the pub really?

well its still cheap. i just hope the extra money will help what is a very poor service in some county's. i can see some people pulling there hair out with the waits they have. and then asking them to pay more money for a service which might not improve
