meathumper 29
Bought myself some new bits for my hw100, rowan single band, new anti tamper, hammer spring, valve spring anti bounce kit. Love tinkering, cant help it. The rifles only 3 month old so bye bye warranty. 3 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,563
I wouldn`t touch my HW 100, very rarely i come home with an empty game bag. Each to their own i suppose. atb Edited March 26, 2015 by mark williams 2 Quote Link to post
meathumper 29
There is nothing wrong with my hw it also preforms excellently. The springs are to make the action smoother, and quieter. It is possible to improve on a near perfect rifle. Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
I put all the new hammer spring, valve spring anti bounce kit. in one of mine ,I thought it made a bit of difference but after a bit had problems . Spoke to two very good tuners they told me that these kits are a waste of time and one said they had quite a few HW100 come in for repair after these kit had been fitted. Had mine taken out and fitted new HW springs ,been spot on . IMO its very hard to improve these guns and HW are probably the quietest guns around 4 Quote Link to post
meathumper 29
Interesting, well that being the case ill just have to put the old springs back in. What problems did the kit present? Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
Springs are to soft , but a few lads have had them fitted and there guns are ok , same as any thing some good , some bad 1 Quote Link to post

It would be interesting to see how to improve on almost perfection. To be honest, the only thing that gripes me with the 100, is its sound at the muzzle, it's like a proper 'pock' noise. Noting mechanical. 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,563
Hi Rez / all, To hear a "pock" after being shot at by a HW 100 means the marksman is crap ! It is so hard to miss with a HW 100. In my humble opinion Edited March 29, 2015 by mark williams 2 Quote Link to post
John Stott 202
I took my newish toy out for a serious session this week. Nice warm day, hide set up the night before, set up a small pattern and waited. Fifteen birds in two hours and it is silent. Furthest was about fifty yards, even managed three out of three without others getting too upset. It is fast becoming my favourite. Superb accuracy with JSB Exacts. 2 Quote Link to post
