I put all the new hammer spring, valve spring anti bounce kit. in one of mine ,I thought it made a bit of difference but after a bit had problems .

Spoke to two very good tuners they told me that these kits are a waste of time and one said they had quite a few HW100 come in for repair after these kit had been fitted.

Had mine taken out and fitted new HW springs ,been spot on .

IMO its very hard to improve these guns and HW are probably the quietest guns around

My point exactly. Let us know meaty how you get on... It would be interesting to see how to improve on almost perfection.

To be honest, the only thing that gripes me with the 100, is its sound at the muzzle, it's like a proper 'pock' noise. Noting mechanical.

I took my newish toy out for a serious session this week.

Nice warm day, hide set up the night before, set up a small pattern and waited.

Fifteen birds in two hours and it is silent. Furthest was about fifty yards, even managed three out of three without others getting too upset.

It is fast becoming my favourite. Superb accuracy with JSB Exacts.

No the Daystate electronic trigger guns (Mk 3, Mk 4 etc) are the quietest as they have no hammer, only a solenoid that goes click and not whack!

I am talking about proper airguns not electrical switches
