billhardy 2,342
This thing I have here out of Romeo can run a bit,he's had gear that 99% of lurchers in this land will never have even cast an eye on,he's no one trick pony,he's keen as mustard & he has a decent jacket as it happens as he has that dense wool type hair as an undercoat, weather doesn't come into it with him it's my lads bitch that's like a Whippet & suffers drastically from the cold & wet,I don't give a shite what's wrote in all these fancy "pedigrees" but there's whippet blood in some of the big names at stud maybe many generations back but it comes through at times, just by looking at the rear hind quarters/stifles & the arched back on them it stands out a mile if you know what your looking for..These are just thick b*****ds or can be,I won't have ANY dog trying to tell me how the show goes so to speak, they either fall in line & do as I say & ask of them or that's it,I want an easy, enjoyable, stress free day out with the dogs anything else will not be tolerated I'm afraid..I'm probably just being picky on the matter as apart from a handful of dogs I've been out with in the last ten years the remainder probably into the hundreds were/are ten times thicker than these two,my expectations are slightly higher than most when it comes to dogs I guess lol. Always led ta believe buddy carried whippet blood maybe my mistake but those coats and skin on some a them lead to only 2 breeds whippet or bull or very possibly both.atb bunnys. 1 Quote Link to post

Oh I see ,we'll I dare say 6 + generations back there could well have been , but as long as they ain't throwing small Pups ,that would bother me too much. Quote Link to post
billhardy 2,342
Lots a the buddy stuff can be quite small in physique some a the line bred stuff seem ta be getting slighter in physique there's a lot ta be said ta the occasional outcross ta a pure seen some that look nothing more than whippet greys in size and physique fa the lurcher men they are ideal fa a terrier type xs or herding dog ,we have in our mists a razor male dog very slight also these coursing animal are always seem ta throw stronger ta the out xs they are predominantly hounds more so the Modern day stuff the older earlier types on the whole I feel were stronger type animals atb bunnys.
