I'm just waiting to get my tag off before I start ripping lead off church roofs and stealing copper cable from sub stations. You gotta watch though, coz them live cables can give you a hell of a shock

Yeah 400-450..   scraps dead at moment gone are the days of 190 a tonne of light ..start at 9 finish at 2 nice 170 in the pocket not no more getting harder and harder the africans that buy microav

I was just joking no need to get so defensive mate, think mot people have had the odd weigh in

Get a real job :D

What's your job then mate? Scrapping isn't exactly my full Time job but use my yard to buy and sell metals, I guess you are making that much money with your proper job you don't need to do anything else on the side

The problem with waiting for the price to go back up,is you just never know how long till its back at a decent price, could be years.

I collect a bit myself just as a sideline,i did do it years ago full time, loved it when it was £50 £60 a ton as there was plenty about, but when it went right up there just wasn,t enough about, had lads in my street six oclock on a sunday morning.

Also didnt help that nothing was safe in your garden.

Agree with you there however I can afford to hang on to it for a year or two so not bothered it's more heavy aswell so I will weight it in as heavy, and I agree not many people out collecting as the most of them are all just people who seen metal money signs and wanted the extra cash not many will still be out Wich like you said for me and you is spot on
