Last thing I had off shore was willicks aka winkles. Folk look at me very oddly when I eat them sort of disgust expression I like them. I'm hungry now after reading this Edited March 22, 2015 by MoChara

jetro 5,349
I'm gutted I didn't get down my local beach for the razors!razor fish is lovely if cooked right imo. Either flash fryed in a wok or deep pan or slowly cooked in a stew or soup . I find if not cooked properly it becomes very chewy and stringery. A bit squid realy. jetro 5,349
Does anyone salt mackerel in the summer months. I love it. And it lasts for ages. also salted wrasse. After a few of them you would drink any brewery or lake dry lol. There was a time ever house would have their roofs covered in salted fish drying them out after the pickling before been salted and stored. Not many do it now though. Shame really. Atb j.
