matlee 1
Awesome guys ! What sort of range is the t20 go out to ? I was thinking of getting nm800 but that's way out of my budget ! Quote Link to post
nasher1 258
You will get 200 yards from a t20 single mode green or red when you start getting multiple mode torches the beam is wider Quote Link to post
matlee 1
Would the t67 have a further beam than the t20 ? Anymore suggestions Quote Link to post
matlee 1
Or do I go for a traditional lamp on the scope , not a torch! The lamp will have a further distance on it won't it ? Quote Link to post
hutchey 147
I'd say stick with a T torch. 1 Quote Link to post
ianm 2,594
T50 and T67 are ridiculously heavy, they are supposed to be equivalant to a n/m800 but having tried them all side by side they are not in the same league. Which "lamp" will suit you also depends on what scope you are using ie: how much light it lets through. Three years ago i did a back to back comparison between a brand new L/F 240 blitz with red filter and a n/m800 with red led, the n/m800 beat the L/F hands down. However if i had wanted white light at long range i would have chosen the L/F 240. The blitz however is not very practical on a rifle, it's the size of a pressure cooker and you have wires everywhere. If you want cheap then a T20 will do if your scope transmits enough light and adjust your ranges to suit, meanwhile look for a s/h n/m800 twin battery torch or save for one. Quote Link to post
hutchey 147
^^Not the single cell ones Ian Quote Link to post
nasher1 258
The op wants a lamp for his hmr the t20 can see further than the practical range of the gun so why spend more money than you have to. I have a scope mounted lf 170 and with the battery pack and wires it's a proper pain in the ass i bought a t20 in green a while back and it has transformed my night shooting Quote Link to post
