Hello Keith, I've been training "WILF" to the hawk this last couple of weeks and its turning into a real partnership, as you know we've always used harris and goshawk for pest control and most dislike small dogs but as my mate was picking up a young female only 18weeks old we thought it would be a good idea to let them see each other, the bird is to be flown right through the spring whilst the other adult hawks are in moult enabling us to keep the golf course/hotels contract fulfilled along with other methods, he's only 7 months and is a top class marker, if he say's its in there then it is, I've been teaching him to sit quiet and let the ferrets do their work, the hardest part is restraining him from joining in when she catches the rabbit, there's something about that squeal that sends terriers mad but I have to say he's a listener, very intelligent and knows who does what now, the rest of his daily work "bushing" is excellent and he is defo not scared of the dark, I'm having to stay on top of him at all times as he will disappear, we've had a good few rabbits working the hawk, ferret and him so should be ideal for the tighter places were the pointers can't get in, hope all yours are fit and well,WM

Great to see ''Wilf'' doing so well and being so versatile at such a young age,i knew this dog would get the best chance with yourself WM.Its always a good start to mix the right blood ,rear the pups ,socialise and give them the best start and when put in the hands of experienced men [women] the dogs stand the best chance so good on you bud.I myself sometimes forget how young ''GRACE'' is as her ability to hunt up and work with the team is something i'd expect from my older dogs, her pray drive is exceptional and her nose as good as my experienced dogs, she's a long way to go before she kills with the precision of my older dogs ,but like said these are 7 month old pups.Grace has killed 23 adult rats now and countless halfy's,flushed dozens of stuff from cover and comes strait back on recall. Its an absolute pleasure watching these young dogs coming along gelling with the pack and learning the trade so keep up the good work and keep us posted on his progress, and hope the rest of the pack are fit and well, ATB Keith j.

Looks like a great day out Keith, what a day, sunny and warm, one of those great to be alive days when everything seems good, love the pics and Grace looks to be coming along nicely,I like the fact they have both stayed small,Wilf's balls have dropped this last couple of weeks and he spends any spare time in the house either trying to hump the terriers or my lurcher,I can,t knock him for that though, lols, he has both testicles which is always a relief for a Plummer dog,he killed a dog stoat the other day when I thought it was a rat we were digging out,his tally of kills is getting quite varied now as he matures, absolutely made up with him, I forgot how entertaining a dog can be, very different from my serious bitches, WM

Was a great day out bud, couldn't of worded it better myself[alive].Love being out with the dogs there's no better feeling than the highs of hunting with my little pack.Good that both his nads have dropped, but hey we were no different when ours dropped trying to hump the local bikes lol. These young dogs certainly have a bit fire in there bellies ,killed a few stoats in the past with my dogs they can whip a few bites in on the dogs but i'm sure he made good work of it,glad he's keeping you on your toes WM,atb keith j.

How would they be related to ace?

"ACE" is their grand sire on the studs side, the mother is "new blood",legion bred, the pups blood is a real nice blend of what I consider to be the best out there at the present moment in time, my pup "WILF" is to be put over my 4 bitches as and when they break down, with their varied mixture of blood the resulting progeny will in my opinion be as good or better than anything else out there both work wise and conformity, WM

Darbo, they are a very versatile terrier capable of any task you want to train them for, there are lads using them for trailing deer, shooting, flushing, ferreting, hawking, even herding farm stock and their nose will find anything as good as any pointer, gun dog, etc, they are intelligent and love to please, the only drawback is finding decent working lines being bred when you are looking for one, most do not wait and buy the first thing they see advertised, there are working lines and pet lines and they are worlds apart in both temperament and working ability, many are constricted by their size, if I was to only keep 1 terrier then it would be a "Plummer" WM
