Kal 17
Hi, I'd recommend getting a copy of 'Slingshot Shooting' by Jack Koehler...I bought a copy on Amazon. I't doesn't cover the use of flat bands (mostly tubes) but is pretty good overall. It's true that you can get the information online (Bill Hayes is good) - but then again I like having the book to delve into. It takes a while to find what is right for you.

bobcullen79 1,495
How to get started? Like we all did no doubt... 1) Ask the postman very nicely if he has "Any spare lazzie`s mate" He will usually oblige if the kid in the first street hasnt ambushed him on the way to your house. 2) Go rummaging at your local rubbish dumping hot spot.(remote woodland, dead end country lanes, and anywhere you see a fly-grazed horse are all good spots) Your looking for the used to be bunk beds years ago, maybe? Metal angle iron framed 2.6" bed with the metal mesh spring system, the type with ply wood boomerangs to stop you falling out.(Boomerangs will probably be missing) Then harvest a spring, more if you plan on selling them, I was getting 25/40p for them depending on who you was. (And that was back in the day!) 3) Head home with your pocket full of gold, sore fingers and empty stomach to harvest your dads tongue`s out of his least worn shoes, only to find out they are his best shoes to his suit. 4) Complete your catty club initiation, by heading down the local woods "huntiing" with at least 7 mates and as many local strays you can muster... Good Times...
