Decoying At Last!

It's been a long week on the night shift...last one tonight then a day decoying. There's still a lot of activity on the rape, hope the birds are hungry tomorrow!!

Keep an eye out for birds on drill this time of year, if they can get seed rather than rape thats more than likely where they will be, good luck.

Twelve pigeons in just under three hours....not great I know!

So tomorrow I'll try another area, hopefully they'll decoy better.

There's too much rape near me to make decoying that profitable. Once you start shooting they just bugger off to the next field. V frustrating. Had a reasonable day on the rooks the other day though. Theres a field of drilled wheat close by, the only one for miles, and they were pulling up the shoots. I shot twenty in two hours. They were canny though, maintaining a respectable distance. I must have missed 30 trying to shoot em too far out. I reckon the rape will be seriously taking off soon though with the warmer weather.
